Step One – Getting an Auction Valuation
If you are considering selling items by Auction at
Chilcotts, the first step is to have your items appraised by
one of our experienced team of valuers:

Step Two – Consigning your items
Our specialist, having advised the saleability of your items and discussed your requirements with you, will then issue an itemised Auction Contract.
The charges and auction process will be explained and transportation can be arranged if required.
Step Three – The Auction
Your items will be sold in an appropriate Auction; all our sales benefit from local, national,
international and on-line marketing, the quarterly Fine Art, Antiques
& Collectors Auctions offer an extra day of viewing and live on-line bidding.
Step Four – Communication & Settlement
We will keep you informed with pre-sale notifications and results; we aim to settle vendor accounts by cheque twenty-eight days after the sale
(if we have received payment from the buyer).

Auction Charges for Vendors (all subject to VAT):

1.5% Loss & Damage Warranty
There is a minimum charge of £5 per lot sold or unsold.
